  Essential Recruitment agency found me work as a delivery driver for Amazon in Kirkby starting on 18th December 2015. I wasn't paid before the new year as promised. I commenced work in the new year in good faith, fully expecting to be paid for the work I had done. By the following Friday, I still hadn't been paid. I was getting passed from pillar to post with nobody taking ownership. By 4 o clock Friday afternoon I took the van back with the rest of the days parcels and left it in the car park. Admittedly I never followed the correct procedure and got told by the manager in words I can't write on here that i wouldn't be getting a penny. I was asked to prove I had worked there and to their dismay I have got photographic evidence of all the paperwork I have completed before and after each shift worked. Shortly after this he blocked my number so I couldn't contact him. Essential Recruitment agency have never given me a payslip or any form of formal correspondence. I contacted Andy (the Essential Recruitment representative for Amazon) on his personal mobile and was told they had released 2 payments to me (which I have never received). I've contacted Chris (the owner of Essential Recruitment agency) on several occasions about this matter, to no avail. I know I am not the only one to have had problems with pay using this agency. Please be wary of this before taking up employment with this company. I'm not the first, and certainly won't be the last person that this company treats with total disregard. It is now June 2016 and I have still never even had a letter off them. Apparently its not their problem. I am taking this further, following this matter up with a solicitor who deals specifically in employment law. I wouldn't even rate them 1 star with the appalling service they have 'provided'.
